Sixty-nine years ago had ended World War II. This day is annually celebrated in Europe on May 9th, as the Victory Day. Among countries, which celebrate this day, are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Poland, Georgia, Israel, England, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Serbia, Russia, Ukraine and Yugoslavia. This day many people visit the most memorable places of their countries and cities – Parks of Glory, military cemeteries, monuments of warriors; take part in different parades and bring flowers to those who protected the Homeland in order that we now could live quietly. Memorial complex «The National Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945» in Kiev situated not far away from our hotel. The Memorial complex is one of the most popular memorials of Ukraine; it represents an integral part of the historic and architectural landscape of Kyiv that attracts guests of the city.
The 9th of May is our past that we have to respect and always remember! Happy Victory Day to all of you!
